Maurice ZarmatiPresident & Chief Executive Officer of Costa Cruise Lines—North America As President and CEO of Costa Cruise Lines—North America, Maurice M. Zarmati oversees sales development, marketing, revenue management, finance, human resources, and passenger services for the North American region of Europe’s leading cruise line. Though he studied for a career in comparative linguistics (and speaks five languages), he started working for the legendary Ted Arison in 1972 as part of the team that formed Carnival Cruise Lines. He then served as Carnival’s Southeast Regional Sales Manager from 1973 until his promotion to Director of Sales in 1979. Named Vice President of Sales in 1987, he was responsible for the largest field sales force in the cruise industry.
Zarmati is very active in the South Florida community where he resides. He has either been involved with or is currently involved with numerous organizations including: Boy Scouts of America, the Executives' Association of Greater Miami, Fiduciary Trust International of the South, the March of Dimes Foundation, the Miami Heart Association, the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts, the National Safety Council, and the United Way of Dade County. In addition to a daughter, Sabrina, he has a son Joshua, who is an exotic animal handler. |
