At CANDi, we believe that all dogs, no matter their pedigree or where they were born, deserve loving forever homes. CANDi is making this dream possible for stray dogs that might not otherwise have this option. Many animal-loving tourists who vacation in tropical locations and witness the suffering of stray dogs want to help these animals, but don’t know how. "Project Cancun" not only provides a spay/neuter clinic, but also serves as an adoption center. Stray dogs are rescued from the streets are taken to the Cancun facility where they are immediately seen by the staff veterinarian to determine their condition. All reasonable steps are taken to nurse these animals to full health. Adoptable dogs are housed at the facility until arrangements can be made to fly them to Canada or the United States for adoption into loving homes.
