Since 2008, CANDi, together with their partners, Isla Animals (www.islaanimals.org) and Achates Legacy (www.achateslegacy.com), has sterilized over 1600 dogs and cats. Through your support of donations, supplies and medicine we have been able to keep our costs down so that we now can sterilize a dog or cat for $20 per animal. Our goal for 2011 is to do two clinics. The first clinic will be the week of April 25th, 2011 - and the second clinic will be in early November. We are currently seeking funds to sterilize 600 cats and dogs over a 5-day period and need to raise $12,000 for each clinic. Our clinics bring animal lovers from all over the US and Canada to save millions of dogs and cats from being born in to a life of suffering. What is unique about our clinics is that we invite US and Canadian animal groups to our clinics who then fly rescue dogs back home to loving homes. Food, shelter, transportation is donated by our major supporters and 100% of the money donated goes directly to buying medicine. Volunteers, such as veterinarians, technicians and animal lovers donate their time. The solution to reduce animal suffering is the sterilization clinics, but we also have the opportunity of saving one life at a time for those animals that need our help, thanks to the support of our animal rescue groups who work with CANDi. Our goal for 2012, and beyond, is to have one clinic per month, which will equal SIX THOUSAND animals. By sterilizing thousands, we will save millions of animals from being born in to a life of suffering. Will you be our champion? |
