2nd Annual “Putt for the Pups” to benefit CANDi and local Saratoga animal rescue organization Mark your calendars for June 15th to participate in the 2nd Annual Putt for the Pups golf tournament, which benefits both international and local animal rescue. Hosted at Frear Park in Troy, NY, this tournament will raise both money and awareness for animals in need. Whether you're a pro-golfer or just a pro-dog-lover, come out and join the fun. Ready to register? Click here. (Registration begins April 1.) Why Putt for Pups?

Back in 2010, Ashley Villa and Kelly Loudis had a little idea with big heart: to help save the worlds homeless dogs.   They would ride to their toilet paper sales job together thinking, “What could we do?  How could we do it?  We HAVE TO do something….”

Fast forward to 2012, when this dream came true.  After months of hard work and preparations, on July 28th, Kelly and Ashley hosted the 1st Annual Putt for the Pups golf tournament.  With no experience, and absolutely no clue what they were doing, they raised $3000 dollars for homeless animals.  Their golf tournament was a hit!  Now, how could they make it even better?!?

Building the dream-team. Ashley meets Tracey Buyce, a volunteer and photographer for CANDi International and the wheels start rolling.  Tracey gets in touch with Christine Wheat, another avid dog lover with greyhound rescues of her own and the brainstorming begins!  With this group of dedicated women we realized the next tournament would be even better!  We can raise MORE money, save MORE dogs, AND have more fun!

Kelly, Ashley, Tracey and Christine are ecstatic to announce the 2nd Annual Putt for the Pups will be June 15th, 2013 at Frear Park in Troy, NY.  Get ready people, it’s going to be big!

Who you’ll be “Putting” for

All of the money raised at the Putt for the Pups tournament will benefit CANDI International and the Saratoga local charity, Homeward Bound.

Homeward Bound Dog Rescue:
Homeward Bound is a not for profit volunteer organization. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.  We take our dogs into our homes and care for them as if they were our own until they go to their forever homes. The time we spend with them helps us to learn more about them, which allows us to be able to provide applicants with an accurate assessment and the dog’s individual strengths and needs.
Our fantastic fun-draisers
