The Problem exists everywhere and tourists worldwide are confronted by the wretched images of stray cats and dogs when they vacation overseas. In many countries, The Problem is dealt with in the most unimagineably savage way through mass electrocution and drowning of these stray animals, out of sight of the tourists – out of sight and of course, out of mind.

Today dogs and cats are ‘quietly’ destroyed and publicly harassed. Cats are poisoned on resort grounds, dogs are picked up and destroyed overnight. It is ironic that so often in these places of extraordinary beauty, which tourists travel to from all over the world, such horrors exist.
